With personal development you learn that having fun is a big part of it. So let’s have fun in your personal development and I’ll share a few fun facts with you and maybe you’ll learn something as well. In this case your personal development will be expanded by the your knowledge of alcohol. And if you like what you read here, I would appreciate you coming back to the top of this page and retweeting it. I check my retweets and will do the same for you if I find value in your tweets.

Alcohol is derived from the Arabic al kohl, meaning “the essence”.

Alcohol beverages have been produced for at least 12,000 years. The consumption of alcohol was so widespread throughout history that it has been called “a universal language”.

Methyphobia is the fear of alcohol.

Most vegetable and virtually all fruit juices contain alcohol.

Research evidence from around the world generally shows that counties with higher alcohol consumption have fewer drinking problems than those countries where consumption is relatively low.

Studying the experimentally induced intoxicated behavior of ants in 1888, naturalist John Lubbock noticed that insects that had too much to drink were picked up by nest mates and carried home. Conversely, drunken stranger ants were summarily tossed in a ditch.

Alcohol consumption decreases during the time of the full moon.

There is a cloud of alcohol in outer space with enough alcohol to make 4 trillion trillion drinks. It’s free for the taking – but it’s 10,000 light-years away from earth.
