Sitting On The Fence With No Money

by Michael Berry on March 8, 2013

We all have them. I know I do in my personal development business opportunity. Those people that can’t or won’t make a decision. It usually boils down to a money issue, but is that the real issue?

Here’s how some conversations have gone for me. Prospect: “I like what I see here, but I just don’t have the money.” Me: “What do you need the money for?” Prospect: “Well to get started in your opportunity.” Me: “No you don’t.” Prospect: “What do you mean?” Me: “Well, until you make a decision to get started here you don’t require the money.”

Most still don’t quite understand. We know in personal development that once you make a decision and take action you can create anything if you want it badly enough. You don’t have to know the how or when the money will come to you just start by making the decision. Let the law of attraction work for you.

Since we’re on the topic of money. It’s never about the money. The prospect is just using that as an excuse so they do not have to make a decision. You see, with a decision you’re committed to take action toward that decision. Bottom line is, they simply do not want to make the effort. That’s really interesting since they normally tell you they’re ready to change their lives. But the truth is, they want to change their lives without effort. It’s a bit of the lottery mentality isn’t it?

Personal development is our business and our life.

Great post Michael. Definitely agree with you on that one. It’s not about the money, but whether the prospect is willing enough to take a stand and take action. One thing I always say to prospects once they start saying this is “Don’t say how much damage this will do to my wallet, but say how much this will make me in the long run?”

That’s a very smart point. Too often we make things impossible simply by thinking it’s impossible. Once we think it’s possible it becomes possible. All in the head.

Another great post. Sitting on the fence means you do not know which side you want to go. We should always be decision makers and take action after making those decisions.
