You learn in personal development that life is a journey, not a destination.

We’re all connected. This became even more apparent to me over a year ago when talking with my wife’s (Arni’s) dad. He was suffering from dementia and going from a state of being very coherent one minute and the next incoherent.

In a state of what most people would say would be incoherent he said to me. “You are changing the thinking of the World one person at a time. You’re doing such amazing things in changing peoples thinking and changing their lives forever. Man you guys are doing such great things, it’s just amazing what you’re doing.” He went on and on about this for at least 10 minutes. This is amazing since we had never discussed what we do with him other than to say we’re in a home based business, he had no idea on a conscious basis but his subconscious mind knew exactly what we do. He was accessing his subconscious  mind.

Our subconscious mind is where we know everything we just have to learn to silence the chatter of the conscious mind long enough to be able to hear what our subconscious mind is saying. We can do this many ways through meditation techniques, but the most important way to start is by surrounding yourself with everything positive and not allow yourself to be exposed to anything negative. Sometimes this takes work and awareness. If you’re in negative environment make a plan to get out of it and only surround yourself with positive  like minded people. Bottom line, it is totally up to you.

It’s your choice, your life,

Taking control of the chatter in our mind is so important. If we don’t, it can just rule us. In our busy, busy world, it is so easy to lose sight of the journey. I think it takes daily reminders to keep focused, stay positive and clear our minds of needless riff raff. You’ve stated it well!

I loved it when you said “Taking control of the chatter in our mind is so important.” How do you know when that chatter is not serving you? When you’re not feeling good about what you’re thinking. Just thought I would add that. Thanks for your great comments.

Aloha Michael, we all can use a change in mindset and start focusing on better things in life. Stop ourselves getting caught up in the drama of life and make a change so others can see there are other possibilities. thanks for sharing! 🙂

PS..come by and share a sweet comment. The benefits are sharing is caring. Mahalo!

Hey Lani great comments. Especially when you said “Stop ourselves getting caught up in the drama of life and make a change so others can see there are other possibilities.” That pretty much sums it up.

On another note. Do you live in Hawaii? We’re moving there next year.

Hi Michael,
I love your post! And I completely agree with it, especially the part about surrounding yourself with everything positive!
Make it a great day,

Michael Berry November 8, 2010 at 4:05 pm

Yes MarKay it’s absolutely essential to be surrounded my positivity. You can’t accomplish your goals without it. And you’re welcome.

Michael, having also had a parent with dementia, I truly understand your initial amazement and subsequent train of thought. One certainly must have faith and trust that so much lies beneath what we see . . . and think we know. Thanks for this reminder.

You’re welcome Shari and thank you for your comments. Yes there is so much that lies beneath.

I also believe we have all the answers about the things that really matter to us. The bad thing is that we do not take sometime to search our inner selves to get to know these answers. Having a positive environment and deep meditation can really help us to discover ourselves.

Yes we do Jane. Right on.

It is in the subconscious level of our minds where all the real important stuff takes place, isn’t that right? Our conscious level is so superficial after all. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all would think on our deeper level?
