Hold Your Point of View

by Michael Berry on September 6, 2014

North StarNo one knows your North Star as intimately as you do! Your spouse or significant other hasn’t carefully chosen your Compass Heading, you have! Your parents don’t weigh each of your decisions employing your mindset.Once you get this far in the decision-making process, hold your point of view. Hold your certainty up against direct opposition from any direction. Be strong in spite of friendly (or not so friendly!) opinions with a different perspective.
Please remember that no matter who they might be, no one has a higher stake in your game of life than you do. Draw that line in the sand and proclaim control and ownership over everything you create with your decisions. It’s okay to trust yourself and it’s okay to make mistakes, even mistakes you have been warned about. Following what is real to you is the way you hone and build your own perspective. Following others will not hone your perspective.
If you allow someone to convince you of something and this then becomes the most real to you, you may find yourself at a crossroads so you will need to do a quick gut check to see if this goes against your Compass Heading.
Personal development is our business and our life.

In personal development we learn that “we all see and experience the world not as it is, but as we are”.
