Excercise – Face Your Fear
Step one: Write down your top three fears. Choose which of these fears you will overcome and how you will do it in the next two weeks.Step two: Take some time out over the next three days and clearly picture yourself overcoming your chosen fear. See it and feel it, but try to have no self-talk whatsoever. Just see it in your mind with no commentary. Keep working at it until you can see and feel yourself doing it without any mental commentary whatsoever.
Journal about any realizations you have during this process.
Step three: Take action! Do the thing you are afraid to do. Do it over and over if necessary, until your fear is diminished.
Step four: Journal about the difference between doing it mentally versus physically. Did the mental preparation help you or did it make the task harder?
Step five: Mentally see and feel yourself overcoming your other fears.
