Being Unreasonable

by Michael Berry on September 29, 2014

You on a MountainAs your hunger for satisfaction and results grow, your heart may, at some point, require you to go in a direction that is outside of your skill set, or beyond your resources. Your heart seems to have the habit of requiring you to be more than you are right now, or ever have been. Your heart requires you to grow, become better and in some cases, to do the impossible.
This can seem completely unreasonable and unrealistic. And it would be, if it weren’t true that you can re-create yourself and grow to become more capable. You are able to create something that has never existed before. But remember, everything that human hands have created since the beginning of humanity at one time did not exist. Entrepreneurs throughout history have made being unreasonable the right thing to do—for the benefit of all!
If your plans, ideas or goals seem reasonable to everyone you share them with, odds are you aren’t reaching too far, or you are blessed with having above average friends and family in terms of their supporting new ideas.
Radio waves, air flight, cellular communication, digital entertainment—all of these can seem very unreasonable on the surface. But they exist and we do enjoy them daily.
They came from the minds of those who saw beyond what is obvious to what could be possible.
Personal development is our business and our life.

In personal development we learn that “we all see and experience the world not as it is, but as we are”.
